Reflections and glass

This is a quickie post on the thrill
of reflections and glass.

The Feet and Forks hit the streets of Tacoma and the Tacoma Art Museum last week to catch the end of the Norman Rockwell show and beginning of a new Dale Chihuly exhibit, and I succumbed to the cheap thrill of taking reflection photos. I love that you can see what's going on both in front of and behind the camera with just one click.

Street scene and sky reflected in Tacoma Art Museum's window.

Not a reflection, but still a fun shot of the museum's cafe window. It's Rockwell's Runaway.
From one of Tacoma's Hotel Murano's glass exhibits, which we also caught last week. More coming in a future blog.

The shot below is a little taste of a feast of Chihuly photos that I'll post soon. I couldn't take photos in his new exhibit, but I was allowed to photograph another room full of his foray into glass baskets and vessels.

Detail of a Chihuly vessel. More to come later.

Love the last Chihuly vessel pictured--interested in seeing more! Really pretty, very interesting concept!
