It might still be in the 100s here, but that's a cider donut with my coffee! And nothing says fall like a cider donut, which my friend brought back for me from Apple Annie's orchard.
I'm looking forward to cooler days so I can start hiking again without having to be on the trail at dawn (which I have not been doing). That should happen by October.

Meanwhile, my kids up north are having a more seasonal end to summer. My daughter has picked the last of her raspberries and my son and his wife did their annual trip to Lake Michigan, where it was cool enough for a fire. No fires here in the desert, except for the sky!

Ama,ing sunsets. Such different weather this year. We had rain the last few days and yet the temp predictions for this week are 90+. One good thing is the clear night skies , we can see many stars and planets. .Most unusual. Be safe.🤪🐕❤️
