It's that time of the month again -- Sew Day With the Twisted Nuts! We got off to a really colorful start with this tropical setting on Linda's back patio. She picked up the wicker chair for $5 at a garage sale (it was white) and spray painted it this fabulous yellow to go with the free rug that someone was getting rid off. She completed it with her homemade cushions.
Then we got down to the business of breakfast, which included a creamy casserole, fruit and blueberry muffins on her very colorful plates.

Then we had to take a break for some sewing before we ate lunch. This first shot is my latest "wisp of color" scarf in progress.

This shows the gorgeous hand dyed gradation I worked with for the scarf. It was dyed by my friend Sheila, and I'll have more later about the trail of coincidences that led to her sending me the fabric and the shop where the scarf will go.
I thought the colors looked especially nice next to this mural that I saw yesterday at a park in Bellingham, WA. The water scene below is one of the views from the park on a sunny, summer day. I definitely got a good color fix this weekend.

Wow, what yummies! And I'm speaking of the food and the projects! I am glad to see you're back making scarves, and hope it means what I think it does... :-)
Yep, a really good color fix. I meet with a crazy group like this every month, but we are not as fancy with the food. We are all overweight and decided to be sensible.
I bet you use up that luscious fabric quicker than you think - there's more if you need it. Fun to see how you are incorporating it in the scarf.
Also fun to see your group hard at work...eating! I'm amazed you have time to sew...lol. Looks like it was a fabulous day.
