A Great Blue Heron fished behind our house yesterday. In the bottom photo you can see Mt. Rainier looming on the horizon beyond the heron. Today a heron family -- two adults and a juvenile -- flew down to our beach, but I didn't have my camera handy.

I've found there to be a lot of symbolism tied to this bird - all good!
And I see that you are having heat alerts/warnings this weekend, actually getting warmer than over here today. It must feel good to you.
