I'm back to working on little my quote collages, which I'll make into a book for a show in February in Louisville. The theme of the show is "Homegrown Stories," so each artist is making a book to go along with the stories theme. Plus we'll have our regular art.
Here are some of the completed ones, although I keep going back to add more to them so maybe they're not really completed.
I really look forward every day to working with the bright colors! And since it's handwork, I can take them anywhere. And since they're small, it's so satisfying to complete them quickly. This happy pile is on the ottoman in front of my TV chair, so I stitch them in the evenings.
I've been collecting the quotes for years and they've gotten me through hard times, given me a kick when needed, and made me smile.
Update on my mom: She's doing great in her new home, playing bingo, making friends, enjoying not having to do anything. They started giving her in-house physical therapy for a hip that's been bothering her for years and she's walking much better now. My brother took this picture of her a few days ago.
Have a colorful day

I love all the colors and stitching, and the sayings are wonderful! I must say, your creative space looks much tidier than mine, lol!
Great news that your mom is doing well in her new home!
Thanks for adding color to my day!😜🦮❤️
Oh Sherrie, I love these! I can't wait to see them in person next year! And your Mom looks great. So glad she's adjusting. As my Aunt Irene said at the age of 95 when being moved to another nursing home (when the other one closed), "You can adjust to anything" and then added "There's nothing like a good cup of coffee!"
You do you! And you do it very well. Your color is distinct.
These are wonderful! And thanks for the update on your mom. You KNOW we all care about her. :-)
