Arizona quilting road trip

I went on a quilting road trip yesterday with Tie Dye Judy and Joyce, and look at what we found at the very first stop (above)!

The desert cowboy fabric was on display at Cloth Plus in Prescott Valley.

Judy, left, Joyce and Marvin the car.
Then we hopped back into Marvin, Joyce's spritely little green car, and sped on to Quilt N' Sew Connection, also in Prescott Valley. Look at the blazing blue sky!

This being Arizona, there was a saguaro quilt on display.

I also liked the wall of bags, above, and the chocolate stash at the checkout counter, below.

By then it was lunch time, and we had delicious sandwiches and salads on the covered patio at El Gato Azul in Prescott.

Thus fortified, we forged on to Seams So Right Quilt Studio just up the street. I was drawn to the colorful display of Grunge fabrics, one of my favorite fabric lines.

I also loved the colorful buckets used to display fabric:

The scraps in the red bucket will be donated to a local animal shelter to use in dog beds.

Then we swung back on the highway and headed to Cottonwood, where Quilter's Quarters awaited under that beautiful blue sky.

Inside was another saguaro.

Then it was back to Sedona where they dropped me off before heading home to Flagstaff. Same time next year!

Have a colorful day
