Green trunk of a palo verde tree
Palo verde means "green stick"
I decided to photograph shades of green on yesterday's walk because I haven't done anything creative with color lately and because green is my favorite color. Here's what I found in 20 minutes.

Bright green on a new prickly pear cactus pad
Bright green leaves of lantana
Yucca
Lady slipper
Desert spoon sotol
Leaves on an orange tree, above, and olive tree below
Have a colorful day

Interesting exercise. Somehow I did not know green was your favorite color. I would have guessed yellow or orange. I was struck by the shading on the yucca plant, such a definite break between light and shade.
Green is my favorite color too! So so many shades of green in my neighborhood! Happy Easter to you all!
i'm serving green eggs and ham!.I die my eggs in onion skins, oh my!
That’s a fun exercise. We are not seeing much green yet here in Massachusetts, but at least there is no snow. I go out each day checking for signs of green on my perennials, but so far there is very little. After our incredible winter, I’m looking forward to gardening. Janice@APositiveOutlook
