Can't show you yet

I just finished quilting and binding a small wall quilt, but I can't show you the whole thing because it's a surprise gift. The corner blocks are the Hole In the Barn Door pattern, among other names. I painted most of the fabric and bought the batik. These colors make my mouth water because they remind me of lemonade and pink grapefruits.

These flower colors also might inspire a quilt this summer. The gorgeous roses are from Dick and Rosemary's garden, and the other flowers are all from our yard. I got the idea for the rainbow fruit skewers from my friend Ellen, although she used strawberries instead of watermelon for the red. I used watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, green grapes and blueberries. My friend Barb made the pottery serving tray.

Have a colorful day

Looks so lushious. The food and the colors. My favorite time of year for melons berries. Your fabrics are perfect.
