Tacoma Zoo Lights

Rendition of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in lights.

I shivered through the zoo last night with Dawn,
looking at half a million lights.

Mt. Rainier and reindeer.
Every year, the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium transforms into a winter wonderland. It was my first time to see the lights, although I'd been hearing about them ever since I moved here.

It was about 24 degrees, which is REALLY cold for Tacoma.
Here are just a few of the photos I took.

 Have a colorful night

Pretty amazing display. Can't remember if they were doing this when I lived there. If so, I obviously didn't go to see them, even though that zoo was a favorite of mine. Brrr - 24 degrees IS chilly for over there. Hope you still had something from your Illinois days to bundle up in! I've broken out my down coat - we're in the 20's during the day too, was below zero last night. That really does take me back to my time in Wisconsin... :-)

Gads, that's really cold! The lights are beautiful, but I don't think I would have been as brave as you to see them in that cold!

Wow! So pretty! It's been a long time since I've driven around looking at lights. Need to do that this year when it warms up! It was 70 here yesterday. An ice storm came in last night and it's now 18!! But it's suppose to get up in the 40s on Tuesday. That sounds like a reasonable temp to take in the lights. Thanks for sharing.
