Crunch

It wasn't my fault!

They say most accidents happen within 25 miles of home, and this one happened yesterday when my car was parked in my friend's driveway a few miles from home. We had just finished a few hours of Mahjongg for brain stimulation and had piled into her car to go to the community pool for a physical workout. As she backed out, the back corner of her bigger vehicle crunched into my car and my stomach did a big flip flop.

I know it's not a big deal, and her insurance should cover it (still waiting to hear back from them), but it's activated my anxiety center and caused a few small panic attacks when I was trying to sleep. Now I don't want to drive anywhere.

And now the monsoon clouds are piling up behind my house, which always causes anxiety after having water damage twice from monsoon storms.

So I'm trying to do a mental reset and be grateful for everything that is positive.

Here's my latest little collage, which will be wrapped around an 8x10 frame.

Here are the others I've done this summer. I'm thinking of this as a free summer art retreat at home since it's too hot to do much outside. (Which is why we meet for Mahjongg a few afternoons a week.)

Have a colorful day

Your fault or not your fault - I feel your pain of having this happen. Sending love and reminding you to breath and stay in the moment. After all, what can you actually do about those monsoon storms and any damage they might do. Pull good karma from the universe.

What a nice grouping of small collage work.

I am truly sorry you had to have this happen, but your post was very peaceful - you know how to find calm and serenity, and thank you for sharing your lovely collages! Breathe... and enjoy creating!
