Art and weather

I finally wrapped up my challenge collage with a little more stitching and one more feather before wrapping it around a frame.

The pretty pink staple gun I ordered from Amazon wouldn't put the staples into the wood frame, so I bought a bigger more serious one at Home Depot and it still wouldn't work. The staples just went off to the side. It could be operator error, but I tried a lot before giving up. So I attached the piece with gorilla tape and hope it holds.

Meanwhile, we continue to have regular monsoon storms in the late afternoons to early evenings. The morning after the latest storm I walked through the park near my home and everything sparkled in the sun, but there were a lot of giant tree limbs down from the night before.

Have a colorful day

I love the challenge piece, you did a wonderful job! Sorry about the stapler, I have a heavy duty one and have used it to wrap pieces around canvas... can be challenging.
Yep, Mother Nature is having a lovely time with Monsoons this year!

Your challenge piece is so beautiful! I hope it does well.

I use a really heavy duty stapler that was my husband's and it uses really heavy staples. It has some mechanism that automatically shoots the staples into their target when you squeeze the handle - guess that's why they call it a staple gun. Like Judy, I've not had trouble when securing artwork to the back of the frame, but you do have to hold it firmly flat against what you are stapling because of that boosting mechanism. For what it's worth, it's an Arrow Fastener model T-50 and the same brand staples have 5/16" long legs. I don't think I'd trust that tape to hold things in place very long.

That is absolutely beautiful. It is a signature piece for you with the colors and theme.
