Flowers and my "Rainy Day" art quilt. |
My friend Judi, a beautiful art quilter from Hood River, OR, is facing some big-time health issues. I don't know what else to do, so I'm throwing this call for prayers for her out into cyberspace.
Sheila, Judi and me three years ago. |
Here she is three years ago, above, at the opening for her solo show at The Gorge White House in Hood River. Below is one of my favorite photos of her, taken four years ago at a coffee house and bakery in the Hood River area. I believe that's a large cookie in her hand.
So if you could hold an image of her smiling in your mind as you pray, maybe we can shower her with everything good.
P.S. She has another solo show at the White House opening this Sunday, June 3. The reception is from 1-3 p.m. You can see one of the quilts on their web site: www.thegorgewhitehouse.com
Have a colorful day

Gee, has it really been four years since that weekend in Stevenson? I don't think I have this shot of Judi with the cookie. Indeed - the perfect image to keep in mind as we pray for her well-being. Thanks, Sherrie.
Found your blog thru Mary Keasler- looked at your friend's face and am lifting her up. I am glad she has you as her friend and you have her back.

Lifting your friend up in prayer, for healing and whatever she needs. God bless you, too.
I have opened myself as a channel sending light to your friend Judi.
You are such a good friend and I will carry Judi around in my heart. I truly hope she gets her miracle.
Sending prayers, for Judi, her family and friends.
We all need hugs, and love, vivian
Judi will be with me in spirit. I am in the north woods of Wisconsin and will think of her as I walk through the trees, the sun, the chirping birds and the calling loons. I wish I could be at her solo show. May her art give her strength and love not only to share with others, but to revitalize her own spirit and body as she journeys on her difficult road. You are a good friend. Hold her hand; just be with her.
My best to you both.

Judi's work is absolutely gorgeous. So often in life we have nowhere else to turn except to that force greater than ourselves.. will be keeping her - and you - in my prayers. What a wonderful friend you are to her, Sherrie. Peace to you both through this and whatever lies ahead...
Thank you, everyone, for your prayers and thoughts for Judi. I'm deeply touched by all of your comments. And Lynn -- you wouldn't have known this, but Judi used to live in Wisconsin.
Judi is in my prayers and she is fortunate to have you as a friend.
