Where's the color?

Photos of Wollochet Bay and our backyard, by Sherrie Spangler
It snowed today ...
It snowed yesterday ...
Classes canceled,
Highways empty.
Not supposed to happen here.

Color drained away
to grayed whites,
light grays,
gray-greens.

Nice, but enough for me.
I'm ready to settle into the chairs
in the lower right of this photo
with sunglasses and iced tea.

Bring back the sun!!!

Well, you're right about the color-draining part. Have you heard of the Society of Six - a group of rather colorful painters in the Oakland, CA area? Google Society of Six images and you'll get some pretty raucous splashes of color.

I just googled them and decided that I'm definitely of that genre -- Colorists. Now I'm off to read more about them. Thanks!

Yes, I definitely thought of you as I was reading about them and looking at their paintings. Enjoy!
