Woolies

The Woolies had a potluck today for my visit. It was wonderful to be back together with them and to see their inspiring work. (I still haven't joined any sewing groups in Tucson because they haven't been meeting in person due to Covid.) Here we are on Pam's deck.

During the past year they worked on Sue Spargo's "Squash Squad," and some of them showed their blocks today. Nancy did the ones above, and here are two closeups to show the intricate embellishment.

Next up are Pam's blocks on a light background:

And here is Mary's finished quilt:

Judy showed this fabulous wool appliqué bag. I think she said it was a Wendy Williams pattern.

And of course, there was food! Here's the delicious chocolate Amaretto cheesecake that Judy brought.

Speaking of food, Nancy and I ended up at the Blazing Onion twice yesterday. First we walked with our friend Barb at Sehmel Park and then got burgers and fries for lunch.

Then Nancy and I went to the theater to watch "Cruella," which was excellent, and stopped by the Onion again to get chocolate cake and ice cream to go. I'm on vacation, so it was okay.

Have  colorful day

Oh, how lovely! So glad you are able to visit with all your groups and catch up on their projects... I always love to see what they're all working on!
Enjoy all those goodies... you're going to have to hike a lot to work them off, but don't think of that now... ;-)
